The View [December 12, 2009 @ 11:53am] all_mychildren [savannahjan] Yesterday's All My Children tribute on The View was pretty good. I was impressed. I was also really happy they did this wonderful send off because I'm hoping people won't give up on the show. Because no matter how bad it is, it has been a part of my entire life. :) I was annoyed that during the interview parts, they mostly only focussed on Susan and Cameron. Kinda ignored the other stars who were on the show. Especially since Michael Knight is the AMC veteran, and yet, we were focussing on Cam. Ugh. I'm excited about the move. I'm feeling sorry for Susan and Vincent who are the ones we know will be commuting. I laughed when Michael said moving to California was like moving home because I remembered that terrible Tad/Ted storyine with the California vineyard. It was fun to see clips of the old shows. I wish there was a way to get the entire show on DVD. I realize that would be a crazy amount of DVDs, but it would be fun to get to experience All My Children from the beginning! :) Read (5) Comment

More rants! :) [December 11, 2009 @ 2:06pm] all_mychildren [savannahjan] Because rants seem to bring activity and that's a good thing! :) 1. Adam - What have they done to one of my favorite characters? They have made him week. I certainly hope he has a plan to stick it to Annie because I do not like weak Adam. He is the villain!! He is the evil, conniving, out for himself villain and it makes me sick that they've made him so weak. I know they are trying to do the whole "he lost the other half of himself," but he was the evil twin. Plain and simple. And no catastrophe will permanently change that. Bring Adam back. 2. Annie - how is it that she is getting away with everything? I know this is a soap opera and people seldom pay for their crimes, but at this moment in time, we already have David who gets away scott-free. We don't need Annie to get the same treatment! Stick her in jail!!!! 3. Liza is really just rolling over? REALLY? I'm pretty sure she could win against Bailey. 4. Madison - Listen, go away or be on the show. Stop this stupid back and forth thing. It's annoying. And, you were interesting for about two seconds and now I can't stand you. If this character stays, I hope the writers give her an overhaul. 5. Amanda/Jake/David - Now that they know "David" is dying, I think they should push to get out of that stupid contract. If indeed he only has six months, that is not enough time to get pregnant and pop a kid out for him to hold. Time to get Liza to free you from this stupid plan and since he's dying anyway, you can just go live with Jake. *shrug* Ok, that's enough from me. :) Read (2) Comment

Off my chest [December 11, 2009 @ 3:44pm] all_mychildren [marstokyo] I've watched AMC for more decades than I care to admit, but I just want to say that lately the show has become barely watchable at all. I know others have complained of this too. But really--here are my gripes: 1. The suddenly turned evil Aidan storyline, holding Kendall as a love hostage--PUH-leeze! where did THIS come from? It's totally unbelievable. Maybe it's just supposed to be a way to kill off Aidan. But it's stoopid. 2. Ryan's whispering voice of raspy rage, and the way he spits out his lines is so awful I want to scream! did he always do this? Why is it just bothering me now? does he have a new acting coach who's telling him to do this? Where's the director? GAG! 3. David Hayward lying (yet again) this time about having a terminal illness. And nobody thinks to fully check this out. They just take his word for it when they see the records HE provides? Come on, people aren't THIS stupid. They work at a hospital for God's sake. There are so many ways to bust Hayward's ass but nobody ever bothers. Are all the residents of Pine Valley retarded? 4. The new Colby --- uh, no. How about NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. She's the worst actress they've ever had on the show. And what is with those teeth? is she wearing false teeth or something. They're like sticking out of her face. 5. And here's a new gripe-- uh, HAIRSTYLES! you think the hair department could come up with a decent hairstyle for their character? Everyone has hair down to the middle of their back, whether they're in the 50's or teens. Liza actually looked more lawyerly when she had her hair up in a twist. But she wasn't in court. She was relaxing in a robe. And pleeze, someone take that damned Cher wig off Debbie Morgan. Chief of Pine Valley Hospital--running around in a 1960's Cher wig. ??????why? can't any of the women actually look like they HAVE the career they're pretending to have? 6. Strapless daytime dresses in the middle of winter. AHHH- CHOOO. The Fusion gals used to be verrrry guilty of this. But you still see it on the show. No one wears a coat. Ever. Kendall is running around in that cold shack in the woods wearing an off the shoulder sweater top. Right. I could go on, but why bother? Read (4) Comment
